Resources
Some of the resources that have been very impactful on my journey.
The Bible as a novel. Easy to read and follow. I found this helpful in familiarizing myself with the people, places and events of the Bible.
Detailed explanations of each book of the bible with historical and cultural context that is invaluable. This actually made me enjoy reading Deuteronomy, Numbers and Leviticus AND understand what I was reading.
My go-to daily devotional. Sarah Young has actually done several of these (Jesus Today, Jesus Listens, etc.) but this is still my favorite.

Written by Messianic Rabbi Jason Sobel, this book details the Jewish holidays that were so foundational to the lives of Jesus and His first century followers and shows how they point forward to Jesus, the Messiah. This book helped connect the Old Testament and New Testament in a living and vital way for me.
Emotions are part of our connection to God and meant to navigate with His wisdom, drawing closer to Him. This book especially helped me to face and embrace deeply entrenched emotions that were keeping me from letting my Heavenly Father truly parent me.
Hilariously honest and fiercely refreshing take on being/becoming an adoptive mother. The letter to birthparents you WANT to write kept me sane during the brutal adoption certification process.
Unflinching and honest account of walking the difficult road of parenting a struggling child. Kristina's humor and compassion bring such light to a difficult topic and her son's account in his own chapter is priceless.

This book should be mandatory for anyone who has a difficult to love personality in their life (family or friend). Honest, insightful, full of tips and insights.
In-depth introduction to the intricate and profound brilliance of the Hebrew alphabet.
Quick and simple read but full of hands on, vital information about the power and blessing of healthy boundaries.
